MALLORCA MOMENTS

Helllllllllo lovely people.

After spending 8 weeks in Mallorca, I thought I would share some of my favourite moments. I have visited Mallorca every year since I was a baby and it holds a very special place in my heart. It is so beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Me and my lovely boyfriend, Joe, spent 6 weeks working in Hotel Can Mostatxins which was an absolute DREAM. We had the most incredible time and met the most amazing people, so we were very sad to leave. However, it wasn’t for too long as we eventually returned for a 2 week family holiday!

I thought it would be nice to share some pictures just so you can really see how amazing it is…

MY HOLY GRAIL MAKE-UP

I thought I would show a little insight into my makeup bag because I love having a little peep at other’s makeup bags!

Here are some things that I tend to use day-to-day and always have in my makeup bag:

Make up

YSL Touche Éclat Foundation

This is a product I’ve been using a good few years now and it is a product that I swear by. It has great build up coverage, which makes it good for everyday/night foundation. It also feels light on the skin whilst giving a glowy, dewy finish.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

Ever since I started using and experimenting with makeup, this has been the only powder I have ever used. At such an affordable price, I have never been disappointed. It always sets my makeup in place for the day ahead. My t-zone tends to get oily throughout the day but this powder does the job.

Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow

I decided to finally take the plunge and purchase this product after seeing so many bloggers and YouTubers rave about it. I am very happy with it, to say the least. The bronzer is so easy to blend out and you can really build on it without getting that ‘muddy’ look. The highlighter is also amazing and gives you that everyday glow that everyone is searching for.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream

Yes, ok, I did also splash out on the moisturiser as well. But it was so worth it! I can definitely tell when I’ve been using this product as my skin looks amazing. It feels so luxurious on the skin, making it look glowy and super soft. Your make up goes on effortlessly after applying this, making it an essential for the perfect base.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara

This is without a doubt the best mascara I have ever tried and it is one that I will keep repurchasing for a very long time. The low price is just a bonus! Considering I have very small eyelashes, this mascara actually makes them seem long, whilst holding the curl all day. I know waterproof mascaras tend to have a bad rep, but, I would honestly recommend this to anyone.

Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Wiz

I got this product after waiting so long to try it out. I absolutely LOVE it. It has definitely changed my brow game and my brows now look more natural and feathery. This has been the look I’ve been aiming for so long and this product is perfect for it. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I would love to know what you guys think is a must-have make up product, please let me know in the comments!

WRITING AN UNDERGRADUATE DISSERTATION: TIPS

After recently graduating from Nottingham Trent University, I thought it may be useful to share my dissertation experience with you.

Graduation 2

Overall, I didn’t think it was too bad, which is quite surprising considering the horror stories you hear of people having breakdowns in the library. That’s not to say I didn’t have my stressful moments, though. After all, I am human! Thankfully, I managed to keep myself organised for once. So, I decided to put together a few tips and tricks that I picked up along the way:

  • Choose a topic you’re interested in (obvious, I know), but you’ll be spending months researching and writing this dissertation. If you’re interested in the topic, it will be a more enjoyable experience.
  • Make use of the resources at University – don’t be afraid to ask for help!
  • Don’t listen to other people – focus on your own work at your own pace. Everyone works differently.
  • Set targets each week. Work out how much time you have and divide your time accordingly. I focused on each section as if they were different essays.
  • Start early to avoid stress. Whether it be reading a few articles or writing brief notes. You’ll thank yourself in the long run.
  • Take each day as it comes, some days will be better than others! Don’t beat yourself up about it.
  • Allow yourself to have breaks, otherwise your work won’t the best that it could be. Go out for those drinks, girl!
  • Take advantage of your friends and family – get them to read through your work as much as possible. You’ll always need a fresh pair of eyes to look over it.
  • Always back up your work, you never know what’s going to happen.
  • Enjoy it as much as you can and immerse yourself in the subject.
  • Pat yourself on the back, it is such a huge achievement after all and you should be proud of yourself.

Hopefully this has helped some of you, even if it is just a tiny bit!
Feel free to comment your tips and tricks in the comments,
